The Tree Project was initiated to encourage Macomb residents to invest in the long-term beauty and environmental health of their neighborhoods by planting trees in their front yards. Trees provide shade, improve air quality, reduce energy costs, increase property values, and create a more welcoming streetscape for everyone. By supporting tree planting in residential areas, the program helps create greener streets and more inviting spaces that benefit the entire community.

Program Details:

A Macomb resident can receive reimbursement of 50% of the cost of a tree, up to a maximum of $100. To receive reimbursement, a paid receipt must be presented within 60 days of purchase to an MBA representative. The planting of the tree must be verified before disbursement is made to the homeowner. There is a limit of one reimbursement every five years per household.
