AMTRAK TRAIN STATION
The historic Macomb Amtrak Depot, opened in 1913, holds a special place in MBA’s history — it is one of the organization’s first and most enduring projects. Every year, Macomb Beautiful members arrive in the spring to plant summer annuals in the window boxes and flower beds, transforming the depot into a welcoming gateway for travelers and residents alike. In the fall, the team returns to decorate the station with greenery and holiday cheer, creating a warm and festive atmosphere throughout the Christmas season.
The depot is also home to the Rose Hermetet Memorial Garden and the Margaret Stover Memorial Grove, two living tributes that honor the contributions of beloved community members. These spaces add meaning and beauty to an already historic landmark.
